In the summer of 2014 I finally decided to go up the empire state building to its 86th floor! I’m terribly afraid of heights so my legs felt like jello the whole time. My heart started pounding furiously– it felt like it was going to pop out of my chest! However, it was absolutely breathtaking to see the whole city so high up. Cars were zooming by down below but they were about the size of ants.  There was this sense of humility that you couldn’t experience anywhere else but here in this moment of time. You are so small compared to the world, but each of our actions ultimately contributes a significant part of everyone’s lives.
